St. Kitts & Nevis has been independent since 1983 and forms part of Lesser Antilles a group of islands located 2,000 km to the southeast of Miami. Location

St. Kitts & Nevis are located in the northern part of the Leeward Islands in the eastern Caribbean separated by a channel two miles wide. St. Kitts is 23 miles long and 5 miles wide, encompassing an area of 68 square miles. The island's point of highest elevation is Mt. Liamuiga, at 3,792 feet. Nevis is located to the south and is approximately 7 miles in diameter, covering a total of 36 square miles.

The Citizenship Program of St. Kitts and Nevis was established in 1984 and is the oldest and most respectable program of this kind in the world and the only one to provide you with such an international passport in only 4 months while most others take 5 years. The St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship program is based on the statute which means the granted citizenship may not be revoked no matter of changes in the governmental executives or policy. Regulations regarding citizenship-by-investment are contained in Part II, Section 3 (5) of the Citizenship Act, 1984.The St Kitts and Nevis passport is valid for 10 years and once it expires it can be renewed at any St Kitts and Nevis Consulate.

The citizenship program of St. Kitts & Nevis requires making an economic contribution to the country. In exchange, the applicants and their families are granted full citizenship. Citizenship can be obtained through the purchase of Real Estate with a minimum investment of USD 400,000 in a Government approved projector via a financial contribution to the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF).

Costs & Timeline


The citizenship program of St. Kitts & Nevis requires making an economic contribution to the country. In exchange, the applicants and their families are granted full citizenship. Citizenship can be obtained through the purchase of Real Estate or a financial contribution to the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF).

The investment property must be from one of the real-estate developments which have been pre-approved by the Government. New regulations passed on the 1st of January 2012 establish that the property may be eligible for use in a subsequent Citizenship via Investment application. The property must be held for 5 years before it can be sold.

Option 1 :Contribution to SIDF

USD 250,000 for single applicant; or
USD 300,000 for applicant with up to three dependants (i.e. one spouse and two children below the age of 18); or
USD 350,000 for applicant with up to five dependants (i.e. one spouse and four children); or
USD 450,000 for applicant with six or more dependants
Additional USD 50,000 must be paid for each unmarried dependent above the age of 18 (children between 18-25 and elderly parents)

Background Checks Fees: (Payable to the Government upon submission of application)

USD 7,500 for Main Applicant
USD 4,000 per dependent (above 16 years old)
Fees for background checks are additional from the total financial contribution to the SIDF upon Citizenship approval.

Option 2 :Real Estate

Citizenship can be obtained via the purchase of a property for a minimum investment of USD 400,000 in a Government approved project. An initial deposit of approximately USD 15,000 or 10% (depending on the developer) is payable upon reservation of the property and the balance is payable once Citizenship is approved. In order to obtain the Citizenship the applicant must obtain the title deed of the property. In the event the Citizenship is rejected the initial deposit is fully refundable.

USD 50,000 main applicant (male or female);
USD 25,000 for spouse;
USD 25,000 for each child under 18 years of age
USD 50,000 for each unmarried dependent above the age 18 (children between 18 - 25 and elderly parents)

Application Fee

Further minor fees such as Official Government Citizenship Application Form, Citizenship Certificate and expedite passport fees are additional and subject to change, therefore prior verification with a representative is required.

Property Investment


Due to such a unique exceptional investment environment where selected properties are attached to - an almost instant - second citizenship, St Kitts and Nevis represents a fantastic opportunity.

Citizenship can be obtained via the purchase of Real Estate for a minimum investment of USD 400,000 and must be held for a period of 5 years before it is sold. After this period of time the property can be re-sold to a citizenship applicant (law amended on the 1st of January 2012).
